The newest edition to Watoto is a new facility called Bullrushes house and is designed for abandoned children aged new born to 3. It was awesome to see how efficient and loving this place is! What is amazing is how the kids just want to be hugged or held - just hungry for love. in fact it was hard to take photos because I wanted to play with the kids and you can't do both. We spent about 2 hours there and I think I took about 300 plus shots but maybe half are good (Hey Mal, relax - that's why we shoot digital & you just have to shoot so fast because these kids move very quickly). The staff are amazing. They have 2 shifts so there are people there 24/7 to watch over these kids. Some have been through a lot but they are so beautiful and so much fun to be around. Below are some photos I took.
Earlier, we met with the Watoto marketing team and were given a list of preferred shots that they need so we have our job to do!! We will be shooting at 3 Watoto villages tomorrow and then Friday and Saturday we will be in Gulu photographing the area and going into the displaced peoples camps (refugee camps for those affected by the civil war). We will then be back in Kampala for Sunday and will spend some time around the city.
It has been a very full schedule so it's never a dull moment. Time is flying by and has been awesome. Thanks to all who have been praying for us - we can see the results working as we are moving along. Everything has been very smooth. Thanks for praying for my wisdom tooth - it hasn't bothered me at all!!

Sounds like you guys are having an awesome and amazing full-on time!! Glad to know that God's keeping you on your toes! I love how you have a blog site Pete, you update so often. That's great for the people who were 'left behind' in Aus who couldn't fit inside yours or dad's suitcases and surprise you with our good-looking presence once in Africa! Well things are okay on our end. Not as exciting ofcourse and the love-of-your-lives (Sharon & Alvecia, just in case you're wondering) are occasionally fighting off withdrawal symptoms from lack of their husbands, but I assured them you guys will make it all better with a beautiful present when you return... which reminds me, make sure you don't come back empty handed!! Well continue to have fun with the kids, I'm positive of God's love in every moment! Learn lots, play lots, give lots, enjoy lots and pray lots. We love you guys! Janice
Hi Janice,
Just saw your comment. Thanks for input - yes it is exciting. We are about
to go to Kenya and looking forward to the safari but I do miss home tho.
Miss Sharon and the boys. Hey we got the gifts so don't you worry. Your
dad has a short list of local guys that he wants to bring home to you.
Very handsome dudes!! Get ready :)
Did you teach him how to shop? He's such a girl :)
