Enough about you, what about me?

Well, everybody's doing it, right? So I decided to pollute the ether with my thoughts too. This should be fun. To me it's a chance to clear my mind of thoughts and dreams - so hold on!

Why now? Well, in a few days time, I will be 'leaving on a jet plane' for Africa and thought this is a great way to let you all know what is up. But I have to say that once I am on the road, I don't know how good I will be in getting some posts up. From what I understand, Africa isn't all that 'web-savy'. We all shall see.

I am going to Uganda specifically to photograph children rescued from dire situations. Primarily, they have been orphaned due to the AIDS epidemic while others have been abducted to become child soldiers. The photos will used to create more awareness for the group that is behind this great work (Watoto.com).

I know this will be a radical life changing trip for me. I am excited but I have to say that I am nervous because there are no expectations, I have no idea what to expect! I have to go get ready now!! Buckle up!
